The Deformities of Toes

The choice of suitable footwear is crucial since this will prevent, tendons constrict, causing imbalance thereof, progressively favor the deformity. Once this does occur, the same progression is accelerated, since all games lever toes go in the direction of the worsening of the malformation.

Treatments vary depending on the deformity being corrected. Hammertoes, in its early stages, they are treated with gel toes finger protectors or hallux valgus toe separators to halt its evolution.


Once deformation has already been said, the best option is the surgical route, by calling percutaneous surgery, which reduces the deformity and restore the balance of the tendons. An appeal to an operation called osteotomy, which is based on cutting a bone to correct the position. Treatment for hammertoes is virtually identical. In summer, it should avoid sandals that force the toes, excessive pressure for holding them. In addition, by bringing toes in the air, any impact or trauma, it gets worse.
