5 Tips to Take Care of Your Beard and Skin

The beard requires regular maintenance to keep it soft and clean. However, it is difficult to find suitable products that respect both the beard and the face. Here are some tips to take care of your beauty attribute. A recent study by researchers based in Birmingham showed that the beard accumulates throughout the day bacteria following meals, kisses and other passages of the hand on the face (And yes gentlemen we all have this little tic). In order to avoid exposing one's loved ones or oneself to germs trapped in our hair, let's see how to obtain a healthy and silky beard.

FLYCO Rechargeable Razor

1- Shampoo his beard
It is not necessarily recommended to use your usual shampoo or soap. Although the beard hair is close to the texture of the hair, its location on the face requires us to use specific products for its maintenance. Indeed, the selected care must be soft enough to be used daily without drying the face and the beard.

Our advice: In the shower, apply the special beard shampoo on your face. Using your fingers, make circular movements to properly penetrate the product and thus reach the skin under the beard. After a few minutes, rinse thoroughly with warm water. Make sure that the water remains warm, water too hot could attack your skin and weaken your beard hair. If your beard tends to curl, try colder water. Dry your beard well by tapping with a towel or possibly with a dryer (at a good distance) if your beard is longer. Renew the operation at least 3 times a week.

2- Brush his beard
To obtain a uniform beard, it is necessary to brush it with a dedicated accessory. Forget the combs synthetic material, prefer those in real horn, or better opt for a real beard brush: wild boar hair. This may seem surprising, but the beard is sensitive to static electricity, it tends to recover with a plastic comb, guaranteed bush effect. The natural bristles of this brush, arranged in an irregular way, detangle and smooth the beard. This stiff-bristled beard brush also removes dead skin and revitalizes the skin. The effect of brushing on the skin stimulates the production of sebaceous which prevents drying of the skin.

Our advice: Brush your beard evenly in the direction of hair growth on as large a surface as possible. Massage more or less firmly depending on the desired massage effect. Know that regular brushing of the beard also accelerates its growth, stimulating the hair at its root.

3- Feeding his beard
After brushing, use a beard oil. This serum composed of essential oils nourishes both the beard and the skin of the face and thus makes it softer to the touch. Pour a few drops in the palm of your hand and apply on the whole of the beard

4 - Clean your face: the scrub
It is advisable to perform a face scrub once a week. This helps clean the skin thoroughly and remove all impurities (such as dead skin). Note that on the areas that you shave with the FLYCO Rechargeable Razor, this cleaning avoids the formation of ingrown hairs. Also, remember to moisturize the skin after the exfoliation to maximize the benefits of the exfoliant.

5 - Moisturize your skin
Because a beautiful beard hides the skin, some men tend to forget to take care of it. This is a mistake because the passage of the FLYCO rechargeable razor weakens the epidermis. If you have a short beard, beard type 3 days, you can use a moisturizing balm, but massage your face well to avoid cream residue on your hair. With a longer beard, use beard oil to penetrate well to reach the skin. In any case, moisturize the parts of the face not covered by the beard, forehead, cheekbones, nose and especially the neck. You can use moisturizing balms with a soothing effect or after-shave, they will calm any redness on shaved areas (especially the neck) while nourishing your skin. If you have fragile skin, avoid products that contain alcohol, they may dry out your skin.
