But, what is the type of mount that should be chosen? To begin with, there is no ideal mount, that is, that suits all face types.

The choice  of progressive multifocal reading glasses begins by looking at the shape of the face. For round faces, ideally frames with angles -especially rectangles- or with an oval shape, which will divert attention from the cheekbones that are highlighted. In this type of faces the frames with round crystals, or small or large ones, are unthinkable.

For elongated faces, large or wide frames are ideal, since they shorten the size of the face. Square or small frames are not recommended, as they generate an impact contrary to the desired one.

For oval faces, experts recommend almost any style of mount, from oval to round or square. But there is also an exception: the heart-shaped frames, which detract aesthetics.

Those with a square face should prefer thin frames, mainly in the shape of ovals or rectangles, which give the expression more softness. The lenses of square mounts or with very wide frames are unthinkable because they give a more abrupt appearance to the face.

According to Diana Neira, when choosing the frames of the anti fatigue reading glasses we must let the face see as it is. This implies that the frame should leave the eyebrows outside so that the expression on the face can be completely visualized.

Also, the hair color plays in the choice. The expert argues that the silver or gold frames are recommended for people with brown, blond or medium blond hair, while those with black, dark brown or reddish hair can be best seen with silver frames.
