How to straighten crooked toes?

Twisted toes can be caused by genetics, diseases, flat foot or foot cavus, rheumatoid arthritis, trauma to the toe or by shoes that are too small, too high or too narrow. In the early stages of crooked feet can usually be corrected by self-treatment or abandoning high heels.

1. Identify which types of crooked feet you have. The hammer toe, also known as a contracted toe, bony spur, toe or turned deformed foot,

2. Check your shoes to see if they may have caused the foot deformity. Wearing  shoes that are too small or too narrow on the toe, or wearing high heels that put pressure on the muscle groups of the toe. Other factors in hammer are the muscular imbalances, which were aggravated with the use of this type of footwear. To avoid worsening the crooked tip, wear shoes that have no space in the toes to accommodate the toes. Shoes should be at least half an inch longer than your longer toe.

3. There are some big toe straighters in the market, which helps to straighten your crooked toes without having to undergo any medical procedure. But you have to keep using it for a long time .

4. Visit your doctor. She may rule out more serious reasons for her deformity, such as nerve damage, and give recommendations for treatment of the issue. People with diabetes, poor circulation or lack of sensation in their feet should visit a doctor before attempting any self-treatment.

5. Do toe exercises. These stretch can make muscles move to the correct position. Manual stretching of the toes is a simple exercise. Putting a towel or paper under your feet and wrinkling with your toes is another stretching and strengthening exercise.

6. Place your shoes with cushions or pads, available at pharmacies.

7.Consider surgery if recommended by your doctor. Early toes deformities of symptoms can usually be corrected without surgery, but for those who have permanent or painful deformities surgery may be a solution.
