Hearing Aids Improve the Quality of Life of the Elderly

Those patients over 60 with hearing loss have a higher quality of life thanks to the use of hearing aids with hearing aid cleaner. It is the result of a study conducted by the Faculty of Dentistry of Bauru, Brazil, and published in the latest issue of the Brazilian Journal of Otorhinolaryngology.

According to the WHOQOL (World Health Organization Quality of Life Questionnaire), people aged 60 and older had better quality of life in relation to four aspects: physical, psychological, environmental and social relationships. Above all, they noticed a significant improvement in leisure activities.

Participants in the study answered the 26-question questionnaire without wearing invisible mini hearing aid. After three months and having placed a sound amplification system they returned to respond to the same test.
